Our History
Lemons To Lavender, LLC opened in September 2015 to assist people in early recovery to strengthen relationships with self, loved ones, and the community to support long-term remission from the disease of addiction. Lemons To Lavender's founder, Nickia Miller, was given the business's name during a conversation with God about how she could best serve the community and utilize her then thirteen years of experience as a credentialed alcohol and drug counselor in the state of Connecticut. Nickia Miller, LCSW earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of the Holy Cross in 2003. From 2009 to 2014, she held certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the Department of Public Health, following successful completion of the IC&RC examination. In 2014, she obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Springfield College and subsequently maintained licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor until 2015, when she transitioned toward clinical practice. In 2022, she achieved licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.
Nickia’s career reflects a broad and diverse range of experiences. She currently serves as a Clinical Supervisor, guiding LMSWs and LPCAs on their paths to independent licensure. Notably, every supervisee under her mentorship has passed their licensure examination on the first attempt.

While deeply committed to the practice of clinical social work, she also values the roles and activities that bring balance and fulfillment to her life, including parenting, reading, appreciating music, and enjoying moments of reflection in nature.

Since earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Non-Fiction Writing at BayPath University in 2014, she has incorporated the arts into Lemons To Lavender's therapeutic work.

Lemons To Lavender, is currently a team of four practitioners and is accepting applications interns as well as 2nd and 3rd shift practitioners.

Qur-an Webb, LMSW
You Can Achieve
Qur-an Webb, LMSW, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in social work, bringing practical expertise in supporting children, adults, and families. His approach is grounded, results-oriented, and tailored to help individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
Beyond his clinical work, Qur-an has made a significant impact on public policy. He played a pivotal role in passing landmark legislation in Connecticut, including Substitute Senate Bill No. 962 (Public Act No. 15-94), which introduced education on safe social media use and computer programming in schools, and Senate Bill No. 949 (Public Act 17-67). As Connecticut Chapter Lead for Media Literacy Now, he continues to champion education that empowers communities.
urrently serving as an Assistant Professor at Western Connecticut State University, Qur-an balances teaching, research, and service with a commitment to fostering growth in future professionals. He also works as an independent contractor, providing therapeutic support to youth and families through multiple providers.
Outside of academia and therapy, Qur-an is deeply involved in sports advocacy. As Vice President of the Association of Black Sports Officials, Inc. and Achieving Better Sports’ Outcomes, Inc., he promotes equity in athletics and delivers psycho-educational programs for athletes at all levels. His work has taken him across the U.S. and internationally.
Above all, Qur-an values family and proudly embraces his role as a husband and father—bringing the same dedication and integrity to his personal life that he offers in his professional work.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of working with a beautifully diverse range of clients, addressing challenges such as accident-related trauma, substance use, ADHD, career transitions, self-esteem, relationship & family dynamics, and more. I understand how overwhelming it can be to juggle multiple roles—parenting, relationships, work—and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where healing and growth can flourish.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for your unique journey. I draw from Attachment-Based Therapy (ABT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care to offer a personalized experience that meets you where you are.
